CANMAG 230V DC Cast Steel Scrap Handling Magnets

CANMAG Scrap Magnet Series are manufactured with a heavy-duty cast steel shell, Manganese steel bottom plate for extra protection. Fully protected terminals with protective lid and plug in leads. Wound with a deep field aluminum coil (optional copper coil available) for operation on 230 volts DC. Also available by special order - Scrap Magnets operating off 24 Volt DC power supply.

CANMAG LRV series -  A controller switch is required to turn the magnet on and off and provide a quick drop.  Gensco can supply this controller with electric push button control in a mountable assembly.

Dynaset Hydraulic HMG Generators
For 230 volt DC to your scrap magnet

For use with hydraulic excavators we recommend our hydraulic driven DYNASET magnet power and control system for 230VDC as described on the brochure below. It is sold as a complete package i.e. generator, control, pressure compensator, solenoid activated flow valves, and push buttons.  The only extras required would be magnet cable for running up the boom, plus necessary hydraulic hoses from the excavator to the DYNASET (usually two) and miscellaneous wiring to complete the installation.  We can also provide complete installation services for the DYNASET.

Gensco SKID-MAG Scrap Magnet
suitable for machines with a dedicated case drain

The SKIDMAG scrap magnet system is a unique combination of our heavy duty scrap handling magnet with power supply installed in a rugged steel enclosure on the magnet.  Optional custom made quick attach extended boom which has been specifically designed to operate with the attachment.  In addition, this boom can be used as a versatile lifting device for other work. A suitable hydraulic circuit, in terms of flow and pressure (and case drain return line) is connected to the magnet hoses supplied. Most often an auxiliary circuit is readily available on the skid loader.  No electric line goes to the magnet and there is no installation required to the machine other than a necessary case drain port which is usually standard on newer skid loaders. Breaking the hydraulic flow to the attachment begins an automatic drop circuit through electronic circuitry located within the enclosure on the magnet.

The advantage of the system is that almost no installation is required on the machine, with no separate electric controls and switchgear. The magnet with power unit can be quickly disconnected freeing up the machine for other duty – and / or moved to another machine. A single system could then be quickly available for different users and sites within the company. For companies with a fleet of machines working on various jobs and perhaps different locations, and do not wish or require a dedicated installation, the hydraulic magnet offers a great deal of flexibility and efficiency.  For example, companies in the rental industry, demolition and specialty contracting firms, transfer stations, railways and ports who may have a limited requirement for a magnet will find this new product ideal for their operations.

The H-MAG
The Original Hydraulic Magnet

The "Original" GENSCO H-MAG is a combination scrap handling magnet with power supply installed in a rugged case on the magnet.  A suitable hydraulic circuit, in terms of flow and pressure (and return line) is connected to the magnet.
